The Online Teaching and Learning Certificate program is designed for theological instructors or administrators to gain knowledge of and to begin teaching in a virtual environment.

The Instructors who teach for the certification program are associated with ATS theological schools, have a Doctorate in educational or theological field with deep experience in distance learning. Many have taught with the Wabash Center or in other professional development settings.

Upon completion of 5 of the 6 courses the instructor will have the ability to confidently design, develop and teach an online course. The courses are also designed to progress through a developing schedule and if desired with minimal extra effort could allow an instructor to have a course ready for delivery in the online environment upon completion of the certificate.

Courses may be taken for CEU credit or for master level credit.

Each course will award 2 CEU's. Courses are 4 weeks each and will require about 3-6 hours a week to complete. Single courses may be taken individually, if a certificate is not desired.
All six courses are offered in master level courses TL501-TL503 included in course CE501-Introduction to Online Theological Teaching and Assessment Strategies; And courses TL504-TL506 included in CE502-Creating Online Ministry Communities.
