Co-Directors of United’s Kenneth Pohly Center for Supervision and Leadership Formation, Roger and Marilyn Evans, are participants in a West Ohio Conference Leadership Development Mission to Cambodia from September 6-20. While in Cambodia, they will lead the 11 District Superintendents of the Cambodian United Methodist Church in workshops on supervision and thinking theologically about supervisory work. Additionally they will participate in the biblical storytelling component of the mission and visit churches and United Methodist mission sites.
An invitation from the Uniting Church of Australia in Western Australia takes the Evanses to Perth for five days of training in supervision and theological reflection from November 21-25. They will work with pastors and supervisors, teaching the Pohly Center’s signature course based on the work of Dr. Kenneth Pohly and described in Transforming the Rough Places: The Ministry of Supervision.
Then, from November 28-30, the Evanses will teach a workshop, “Dynamic Theological Reflection and Covenantal Supervision” for the Australia New Zealand Association of Theological Field Educators (ANZATFE) during its biennial gathering in Melbourne, Victoria.
