United welcomes students from throughout the world and is authorized under federal law to enroll a student of international origin (J visa preferred) who is not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States. International students should begin the admission process no less than one year prior to their expected arrival date at United. Students for whom English is a second language are required to have proficiency in English.

Admission to degree programs at United is granted to qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, parental status, or veteran status.
