Teaching and Research
David teaches New Testament courses. His research
interests include the Gospel of Mark, honor and shame
in the ancient Mediterranean world, and countercultural
aspects of early Christianity.As Associate Dean for Program Development and
Recruiting, David serves in administrative leadership
in Academic Affairs in association with the office of the
Academic Dean. In particular, he provides oversight of
the continuing development of United’s Church Renewal

David is commissioned as a probationary elder in the West Ohio Conference of The United Methodist Church. He has worked in the local church and in a United Methodist campus ministry.
